Are iPhones worth it?

As most of us know, iPhones are extremely popular with both teens and adults alike. But, is this hype really worth the excessive price?

iPhones aren’t exactly known for the longest lifespan. They can last about 21 months maximum! Compared to other smartphone brands, they typically last about one year less. Apple specifically designed their phones to only last until the next model is released.  They do this to try and persuade the owners to buy more of their products.

Apple’s iPhones cost anywhere from $200 to $500 more than other smartphone brands such as Motorola and Samsung. They definitely aren’t worth it when other phones that are more efficient, cost less, and last longer. “One reason I don’t like them is because they break down easily and you can’t replace the parts easily,”  one iPhone user explained.

While extremely popular, iPhones really aren’t the most economical and cost-effective of phones. As Bill Gates said, “The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency.
